Our Mission
The Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce leverages our coastal beauty and rich history to drive a new era of economic innovation and growth. Our mission is to accelerate the economic development of our vibrant coastal community by actively supporting, retaining, and attracting local business owners and national industry leaders.
Our History
The Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce, originally known as the Toms River Chamber of Commerce, was founded about 1918 by a group of concerned business and philanthropic leaders in the County Seat of Ocean.
After returning from wars, leaders of the then-called Greater Toms River Chamber of Commerce incorporated the organization in 1953.
The chamber interacts with government, business, education, legal, civic, cultural, charitable, healthcare, athletic and religious groups endeavoring to create a healthy economic climate in which to live, work and raise a family…enjoying “The Good Life.” The chamber continues to serve as a spokesperson for business and looks to further the best interests of the whole community.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
